Recorded April 11th, 1997 at San Francisco State University the proflic Black Revolutionary Khalid Muhammad speaks about the Rodney King incident, and what happens when the shoe is on the other foot. In this clip, Khalid mentions the Reginald Denny beating, when a white motorist who is driving through the Rodney King riots is beaten. The LA 4, most notoriously Damian “Football” Williams was arrested and brought up on charges over this incident. Written by Dj Rage
title freeze

The Race for the Times journey began over 18 years ago on San Jose States Universitys radio station 90.7 FM KSJS. Throughout those years we were able to capture some of the most powerful thoughts and ideas on liberation. We have asked and listened to some of our most dedicated soldiers in the struggle. We have been on FM radio, and pioneered internet streaming technology as one of the first programs ever to stream live audio and video on the internet. We are now embarking on our most important work to date, the documental. This trailer represents a small fraction of the information we have collected over the years.  Always building strong edutainment, RFT Media is building a classic that will soon be the "Eyes on the Prize" of the Hip Hop Movement !!
